Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Lakhanpur, Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhanpur emerged as a beacon of education on September 5, 1981. Just 2 kilometers away from Lakhanpur, along the scenic Basoli Road in District Kathua, J & K, this school has been a cornerstone of academic excellence for over four decades. Housed in its own majestic building, the school offers classes from I to XII, encompassing both Humanities and Science streams. Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Rajesh Dwivedi, the school is on a transformative journey towards becoming a Smart School under PM SHRI Scheme in 2023. With state-of-the-art facilities including two Computer labs, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs, a Language Lab, Atal Tinkering Lab, and a Junior Science lab, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhanpur is paving the way for innovative learning experiences. Nestled amidst lush green forests, the school’s pollution-free and eco-friendly environment provides the perfect backdrop for holistic development. Initially devoid of playgrounds upon its shift from Army Barracks to its current building in 2003, the school has come a long way. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our dedicated principals and staff, we now boast fully developed Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Pacca Badminton, and volleyball grounds. With the unwavering support of our Chairman VMC and the relentless dedication of our staff, even the hilly terrain posed no obstacle in our pursuit of excellence. Today, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhanpur proudly nurtures over a thousand students and boasts a team of 50 dedicated teachers, all united in their commitment to shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
