Bal Vatika

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has introduced Balvatika as part of its preschool education program in alignment with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The Balvatika program is designed to prepare children with cognitive and linguistic competencies, in line with the NEP’s emphasis on holistic development and early childhood education. It aims to develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities, promote the overall well-being of children, foster effective communication skills, encourage active learning engagement, and facilitate a strong connection with their immediate environment. In the previous academic session of 2023-24, Balvatika-3 was launched at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhanpur with 40 students. This year, the school has enrolled 32 students in Balvatika-3, continuing to focus on learning through play-based approaches and fostering basic literacy and numeracy skills. These efforts align with the NEP 2020’s vision of transforming early childhood education to promote holistic development and prepare students for lifelong learning and success.
